Dilly Bag

I have had these hexies finished for awhile i stitched them up when i had my broken ankle in the early days when i couldnt move,so i thought it was about time i got this project finished.

The pattern is by Judy Newman called Judy's Dilly Bag.

I went to Gail's Patchwork Emporium and Gail helped me chose some french general fabric to go with my French General  hexies .

This is the inside of the bag and it has 2 great sized pockets.

Now it is all finished and ready for gifting.
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.
Cheers Shez xx

  19. Love the Dilly Bag finish. You just can't go wrong with hexies.....your quote reminded me about an old quote my Dad use to say...."Marriage is like a bath....when you first get in it's really steaming but after awhile it ain't so hot....." lol.........

  27. What pretty hexies, and a great little dilly bag in a beautiful colour combination. I made a similar size bag about 20 years ago, and it is so useful to this day. Its been around the world a few times, always with a little sewing project tucked in there.

  28. All finished, and looking lovely! I have quite a large piece of fabric I’ve made with mindlessly stitching hexies together. I was thinking a drawstring bag would be the perfect way to use it, and now I see I am right!
