Stuck at Home

I have been busy even though i am full up with the flu,i managed to get Murphy's fox cut out and each piece interfaced,i have to hurry with this as his birthday is in a couple of weeks.

At night when i feel like it i am stitching a xmas stitchery by Natalie Bird.

Also i have been watching alot of utube and my favourite video at the moment is howjendoesit, i struggle with housework, wish i had cleaning fairies, lol and i have found these video's very helpful.

And Jen has a great system i haven't heard off, though my buddy Lyn said this is how she does it.
Jen breaks the home up into zones.

Lol this is my sewing corner all cleaned up.

And you concentrate on 1 zone for a week.

So everything was taken out of cupsboards and shelfs dusted and glass polished.

So i found this system great i dusted skirtings and got rid of cobwebs and the whole room is sparkling, lol, the rest of the house isnt, lol, but my zone for this week is the family room and entry,i am finding this system is working really well for me even hubby is impressed.
So if you havent heard of this system and want to give it a try ,watch some of howjendoesit utube videos.

Hope you all have a wonderful day
cheers Shez xx

  6. Gorgeous projects Shez. Your home is looking lovely and sparkly clean. I really should have a look at that video too. I'm not a fan of cleaning and usually only do it when the kids and hubby are at home. In my mind, there's no point cleaning if there's no one there to see you do it *hahaha* Get well soon my friend xx

  17. Firts and foremost please get well soon dear Shez! Take good care of you! I simply adore all the corners in your wonderful house! Thank you for sharing Jen's channel , I will follow and watch her tipps soon. I always have to do my cleaning in sections as well- otherwise it would be not to handle here. But always interested in tipps and encouraging and inspiration!
I would be very interested in recommandable patchwork-quilting and freeform stitching machines as I want to invest in a new and better machine. Maybe you have some tips for me- this is all so confusing.
I am looking forward to the next fox and wish you a happy new creative week . I love the funny x-mas stitching!

    Hugs, Susi

  24. Your home looks nice and organized, Shez. I really like that little cabinet with the glass doors. You can put all your pretty tea cups in there. Your dining room table is so charming too. Dusting is one of my least favorite chores haha.

  28. That flu is nasty. Hope it gets cleaned out like the rest of the zones. I use the zone system myself. Otherwise I flit around and nothing gets cleaned. Your fox is going to be so cute and the stitchery is looking so pretty.

  31. So sorry you have the plague Shez - that definitely is NOT something you want is it. Interesting concept for house cleaning but I think I'll stick with my good ol' tried and true card system that works well for me (so much so that DH has threatened me with divorce if we ever stop using it!!)

  32. Hope that you bug leaves you soon , that's no fun at all . Ill have to check out this done method , I could sure use some tips. Your house looks sparkling clean for sure.

  33. LOL I am exhausted just reading what you have done. Jenny had a good system fir soring cleaning called Walk the Floor and she had pretty printable paper to write things down for each room. I made the lists but never got around to doing everything lol. At least it helped. Your home looks emaculate! That fox pattern is lovely. Corben loves foxes so I really need to make something although I think that pattern would be a bit fiddly for me. Your stitchery is cute. Hope you are feeling better. Xxx

  34. OMG! Too much codeine..... big spelling error in my comment lol. Immaculate not emaculate. Can't believe I did that hehehe.

  35. I just love all your new creations Shez ... well done especially seeing as you are full of the flu! Hope you are soon feeling better my friend. I will go look up that you tube site as it sounds just what I am needing ... I seem to be in one big mess lately!

  38. This is not fair being sick all the time. Hope you pick up soon. And I am pleased to see you still managing some sewing time.
Looks like it hasn't stopped you cleaning though! Your home is looking lovely!

  39. Sorry you're still not feeling well, hope you feel better soon.
Your living room look lovely, love how you have all your stitching supplies to hand stored in boxes. I'm afraid i'm a bit of a clean freak, but I will check out the Youtube channel you recommended to see if I can pick up any useful tips lol.

  40. I'm sorry to hear that you still have the flu Shez... you seem to be still getting a lot done though! The zone thing sounds great for getting through the housework - thanks for sharing all about it :-)

  41. Hope you feel better soon! You accomplish more with the flu than I do when we’ll. House work? Perhaps I’d better check out those videos!

  42. I clean kind of this same way, spending a little time each day. Cleaning a little at a time until one area is done is far less overwhelming. I must admit that since we are again Empty Nestors it's all so much more easy!

I hope you have shook the flu by now. It has been going around in Terry's family. Spring colds are common, usually caused by the pollen and allergies. But this flu thing is weird for this time of year.

  45. I hope you start to feel better soon. You have a beautiful home and I know what you mean about housework, as soon as you get one bit done there's always something else to do. Your stitching is lovely as always. Take care my friend and rest up when you get the chance :)
