Holly Cottage & Green Dragons

I finished needle turning this block and now i am up to doing the embroidery so hopefully it wont take long to finish.

These are the 3 other blocks that i have finished so far, this is a lovely pattern designed by my buddy Michelle Ridgway called Holly Cottage.

Had another wonderful day at the Green Dragon's sit & sew on Wednesday,we laughed most of the day ,not sure much work got done, lol.
That beautiful pink flower in the center of the pic Michelle De Groot has just sold and it will be making its way to Syndey.
I also got to watch Michelle making a utube video on mitred corners ,Dot did the filming.
Isnt the girl quilt on the right in the middle amazing Michelle is so clever and always so helpful with any questions,so glad i found this group thanks to my buddy Brenda.

Lol i remembered to soak my cottage garden threads before starting on more of my tags for Ruth's quilt, thank goodness i did look at all that dye that came out.

I have finished 24 tags for Ruth's quilt,i think there is 34 to make so nearly there.

Hope your day is a good one.
Cheers Shez xx

I have to have a prepared edge or I get very nervous and it's not fun--so for me this works fine...I am looking forward to seeing your embroidery on this one--decorating Mr Gingerbread man should be a lot of fun;))) hugs, Julierose

  8. Phew - so glad you soaked those red threads! I don't understand why that seems to be the only colour that bleeds - you'd think they could fix that issue. Happy faces at your group!

  11. Your appliqué and embroidery are amazing. You must have so much patience!
I found your blog, following advice from Christine B. (here above) who recommended a post of yours regarding the issue of no comment notifications in Blogger. Unfortunately I got the message that that post is no longer available when I tried the link. I'd like to be able to access it, so I'd be very grateful if you you could send me an email (address in my profile) with your advice, or an active link to your post.
    Thank you.

  19. All those stitcheries look great. Hmmm, I hope that was the old thread and not the newer ones which are meant to be colour fast. Love the colours you have chosen for your Christmas quilt. Haven't started mine yet as I still have to finish an enormous one I made years ago. Hope you are keeping well.
