Doing Well

Hubby took me to see the Orthopedic Dr at the hospital today and they took off my heavy cast and took my stitches out,i got to see the wound,i am very lucky as they said its one of the worst they had seen, and then they put on a nice lightweight fiberglass cast on which has to be on for another 4 weeks,so still no pressure to be on my foot, the Dr's and specialist at the Base hospital are awesome we are so lucky to have such a wonderful hospital here in Ballarat.

Hubby also picked me up my new mode of transport to get me from the recliner to the toilet, its a wonderful help as the wheel chair is too awkard inside to do this whilst holding the walking frame.

I got a bit more finished for my hexie bag, love these french general fabrics.

I also managed to finish off another snowie stitchery xmas decoration, might be awhile before i put it together.
I have heard from my buddies o/s's and they are having a marvelous time and they are sharing lots of pics with me,so a small part of me feels that i am over there with them, luv those girls.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
Cheers Shez xx

  1. Hello, dear Shez - so glad to hear that you are on the mend! My goodness, girl, what an ordeal you have been through! Your little riding cart looks very handy, indeed, and hopefully it is easy to use, too. I love that you are keeping busy through it all, creating lovely things and keeping in touch with your sweet friends. So sorry you didn't get to go, but now you have to concentrate on healing and being very careful, my friend. Sending lots of hugs xx Karen

  2. Your healing is making progress and that sounds so good. And also great that you can be busy with your crafts. You can always find something to stitch or to sew like the little hexies. I love French General fabrics very much.

  19. Hi Shez. A scooter like that was my best friend when I had foot surgery. Don't take the corners too sharp though! Bones are supposed to heal in 6 weeks so I hope your recovery follows expectations. At least you have been doing some wonderful stitching.

Be well and I am saying prayers for your speedy recovery.
    xx, Carol
