Good News

On Friday i went off to the hospital in my wheelchair and came back with a moonboot and crutches.
I got to see my xrays and you wouldnt know that nearly 6 weeks ago i snapped 3 bones in half,my ankle looked perfect except for the plate and screws, which i get the screw out in January, one is coming out and the rest are staying in.

They had taken the cast off and then hubby wheeled me down to xray so i thought that i would take a pic of my ankle ,it has healed up so well, the body really is such an amazing thing, one thing i have learnt out of this is to treat my body with a bit more respect and care.
I have also found out it was harder than i thought to start putting weight on my injured ankle but with exercises and more walking i am sure that i will improve each day.

Hope your day is a good one.
Cheers Shez xx

  26. You are making good progress. When I had foot surgery, I was constantly in countdown mode until I was 100% again. Of course my situation is very different than yours, but I'm not 100%. One screw is bothering me and the arthritis in my foot is a pain in the....foot, lol. But I am still better than I was before surgery. I remember I thought I'd NEVER be able to put weight on my foot, or that the swelling would NEVER go away. But it DID!! Hard to believe that was almost a year ago.

Just don't do any cartwheels. LOL
